Culture media ingredient
A broad-spectrum biocide that inhibits bacteria, fungi, and algae in plant tissue culture. Add at 1–2 mL/L to sterile medium to guard against contamination during transfers and germination. PPM is heat-stable (autoclave-compatible) and pH-stable across normal tissue culture ranges. Does not inhibit plant growth at recommended concentrations. Particularly valuable for field-collected explants with high microbial loads.
