Gelrite (Phytagel) — 100 g

A transparent, bacterially-derived polysaccharide gel used as a premium alternative to agar. At 0.2–0.3% (w/v), Gelrite (also sold as Phytagel) forms a clearer, firmer gel ideal for visual inspection of root development and contamination detection. Requires divalent cations (Mg²⁺ or Ca²⁺ from the medium) to solidify. Preferred for in-vitro micrografting, studying root growth, and any protocol where gel clarity is critical.
