Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies xPlant uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. We keep this short and plain. If something is unclear, email support@xplantpro.com.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They help us keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure app usage when you choose to allow analytics.
Essential cookies
Essential cookies are always on. Without them, the app cannot function safely. We use them for:
- Authentication and keeping you signed in to your workspace.
- Session security and protection against common attacks.
- Saving your cookie preferences so we do not ask again on every visit.
- Remembering small interface choices like theme and navigation state.
Optional analytics cookies
Optional analytics cookies are off by default. They only load if you explicitly accept them in the cookie banner or preferences dialog. When enabled, they help us understand:
- Which workspace features are used most often.
- How pages perform across devices and browsers.
- Where users get stuck so we can improve the experience.
We do not use cookies for advertising. We do not sell or share your information for marketing purposes.
Diagnostics and error logging
To keep the app safe and fix problems quickly, we record technical diagnostics when something goes wrong. Error and warning reports are treated as essential and are always collected. More detailed activity diagnostics are optional and only collected when you allow them. A diagnostic entry can include:
- What happened and on which page, plus a short error fingerprint.
- Your browser type and a temporary session identifier for that visit.
- The app version and release channel, to tell environments apart.
Diagnostics never include your lab notes, plant or culture details, SOP text, or any other content you enter — only technical signals about the app itself.
Manage your preferences
You can change your choices at any time. The cookie banner reappears when you clear browser storage, and your selection applies immediately without a page refresh.
Removing cookies
Every browser lets you delete cookies. If you delete xPlant cookies, you will need to sign in again and set your preferences again. Refer to your browser help documentation for instructions.
