Plant growth regulator

Plant Growth RegulatorspgrGeneric reference

IBA Solution — 100 mL

by Generic100 mL

The most effective synthetic auxin for adventitious root induction in tissue culture. IBA (Indole-3-butyric acid) promotes root formation at 0.1–2.0 mg/L in rooting medium; at higher concentrations it promotes callus. More stable than IAA under light and elevated temperature. Used in rooting media (typically combined with reduced or zero cytokinin) and callus induction protocols. Dissolve in 95% ethanol or dilute NaOH before adding to medium.
