Spectrophotometer

Spectrophotometers measure light absorbance to quantify cell density, chlorophyll content, and compound concentrations. In tissue culture, used to measure cell suspension density (OD600), assess culture viability, quantify pigment levels in callus or suspension cultures, and verify stock solution concentrations. A UV-visible spectrophotometer (200–800 nm range) covers most plant tissue culture applications.
